About this document

When is it used?

When a limited company's registered address moves within the same province, the manager or board of managers resolves the change and has it registered in the trade registry.

Points to watch

  • If the articles state only the province, a change within the province does not require amending the articles. If the district is also stated and changes, the articles are amended by general meeting resolution.
  • Moving to another province is a transfer of the seat and requires a general meeting resolution.
  • The resolution is prepared in MERSİS, a notarised copy filed with İTO, and the registration fee and notice fee paid: Trade registry fees
  • Notify the tax office, SGK and banks; the business licence is reissued.
  • Detailed process: Trade registry procedures
