Structure: digits 1–6 Harmonized System (HS), 7–8 EU Combined Nomenclature, 9–10 national subheading, 11–12 statistical code. Example: 8471.30.00.00.00 → chapter 84 (machinery), heading 8471 (automatic data-processing machines).
